Meet our foreign participants

This year the conference will be attended by:

Professor Phil Rose, McMaster University (Ontario), ex-President «The Media Ecology Association», Canada. His presentation will provide a broad outline of the field of media ecology and of the Media Ecology Association (MEA) as they both stand today.

Professor Tapio Varis, Unesco Chair in global e-learning, University of Tampere, Finland. Tapio Varis will present the report «MEDIA LITERACY IN THE NEW GLOBAL MEDIA ENVIRONMENT”.

Professor Elena Lamberti, Research Professor at the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of Bologna. The main theme of her Report is fake news and trolling, title is «MYTHMAKING 2.0: TELLING STORIES, MAKING HISTORY”.

Professor Jonathan Sanders, Stony Brook University, will talk about visual communication as one of the main sections of “teaching and learning” News Literacy.

Lecturer Huyen Nguyen, University of Social and Humanitarian Sciences in Ho Chi Minh City, will present the report «News literacy in Vietnam: practice, tasks, problems, attitude to the news literacy of the industry and citizens”.


Also on the opening day of the Conference, the professor of the Fordham University in New York City Paul Levinson, American writer and professor of communications and media studies, will make the report "Fake News in Real Context".
